Hey there! I'm Hannah Marion Jones and I just wanted to say thanks so much for stopping by and catching a look at some of my projects!
I love photography. I feel like that's the perfect place to start, since my love for capturing moments has taken me where I am today. To me, photographing people and experiences lets me be a part of capturing your life. We all want to leave behind a legacy of who we were and the people we loved. Capturing your wedding, your graduation, and just every day, is a way to freeze your legacy in time. To be a part of that is a blessing.
I believe that God created us as image bearers to His name, and I believe He has gifted me with an eye for photography to capture His majesty and glory through His children. God is and always will be a huge part of my life because of the change He has made within my heart. I want my work to please him ultimately, and to be a witness through my gifts. Colossians 3:17 says "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." and in 1 Peter 4:10 it says "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." I apply these verses in my work with lenses, cameras, and you!
Some other things that make me unique, besides photography: I grew up as a missionary kid in Sarajevo, Bosnia, where my family still lives. I'm a dog lover, and enjoy taking walks with my golden retriever, Miracle. I'm currently a senior at Columbia International University, majoring in Media Arts. I love graphic design and web-developmental design and enjoy getting to use my creativity as a job. I'm also a writer, and have had a couple of my stories published in journals and magazines. I love adventure, and since both of my parents are hang-glider pilots, I got a bit of their yearn for excitement. I enjoy going off the beaten path and would prefer to blaze my own trail rather than follow in the footsteps of someone else. Abandoned buildlings are some of my favorite places to take photos and explore, so it's always exciting to find a new spot in the area.
Feel free to contact me any time with questions or comments about my photography, or even just every day life!
